Solar lights have now improved to give useful spot lights throughout the garden. They are quite useful for decks as they can be used in planters etc, and moved around without worrying about wires. There are several types of deck lights, including the type that are cut into the deck. These type of deck lights need to be thought out very carefully. Be aware of the glare that can be a nuisance problem with LED deck lights. Garden lighting is usually less of a problem for they are generally situated further away - with a reduced glare problem.
