| The British Fuchsia Society's London show - Sunday, August 12th at The Beaconsfield School, Wattleton Rd, Beaconsfield. The show will be open from 12.30 to 4.30pm, the cost of entry is £2 and £1 for OAPs and children. Members of the British Fuchsia Society get free entrance.
This is the oldest Fuchsia show in the country, and most probably the world, and definitely the most prestigious, this will be our second year at this venue and last year it was fantastic show and we are aiming to do the same again this year.
There are classes in the show for everything from large hanging baskets, to bonsai, from giant standard fuchsias to miniatures! Fuchsia flowers can vary in size from the very large to the minute and in all the shades of the rainbow, as well as white to almost black - so there will be fuchsias to be seen to suit everyone's taste. We attract exhibitors and visitors from far and near. They bring with them between 500 and 700 top quality plants in all shapes and sizes.
There will also be demonstrations on growing fuchsias and enthusiasts available to give cultural information and plant identification, so why not bring along that fuchsia that never has had a name! We will find an expert to identify it!
As well as admiring the fuchsias - there will also be a range of trade stands selling fuchsias (a chance to buy the normally rare and unobtainable!) Also there will be a wide variety of crafts and memorabilia available. So there should be something for everyone!
