Daffodils
Still time to plant some daffodils for a splendid display next
Spring. get them planted by the end of October - or even a bit
later, and you will have a glorious welcoming site at the end of
the winter months.

| Hedge Problems?
Does your Leylandii hedge
look as healthy as the one on the right, or is it full of brown
patches? If so, it may have an infestation of
Cypress Aphids. |

Roses
There will soon be fresh stock of rose
bushes in garden centres and nurseries - they start lifting
them from the field grown stock any time now. It is the best
time of year to plant new rose bushes. many of the best
varieties will be sold out by the spring, so have a wander
down to the garden centre to order your favourite varieties
now.

garden. This is a good time
to have a close look at your garden, and perhaps note
things that were not quite right this last year! We
offer help for you to think about and design your own
garden. A great stimulus for the long, dark nights
ahead, and something to involve the whole family. You
